For a while now I have known that it was time to get rid of the paci. I think I let it slide because I thought Peyton would have really hard time with it, and I wasn't ready to deal with that. Jon and I finally decided it was time last Friday night. We had talked about the paci fairy for a couple days before hand. We told her the paci fairy would be coming to our house to get her paci's and bring them to all the babies who needed them since she was a big girl now. Also, she would be leaving a big surprise in exchange.
To my amazement, she has done awesome! Friday night she cried for about 10 minutes and then she was asleep, and slept through the whole night. Saturday nap was fine, but later that day she asked for it once, whined a bit, and that was it. Every night since then she has been fine. Like she had never used one. Aidan did poke her in the eye today and she asked for it, but she was justified! I'm so proud of her and very glad we decided to go for it!
She did ask for some specific things, which of course she got. New pink nail polish, a baby with blue clothes, and some more tattoos. I threw a couple other things in the mix that I knew she would like, just to make it really special.
When she sees me wearing earrings she tells me she needs some, so I got her clip ons.
I worked that morning so I missed her actually opening everything up, but Jon tells me she was excited and liked everything. Aidan was apparently more excited than she was though. Wish I could have been there, but he did take a video for me! I am so glad that is done and over with, and that she did so great!

Airplanes
Back in May, we went to a small airport in Knightdale with Joe and Bronte, to take a look at some small planes. We were able to get up really close, and even got to look at the inside of them.
We also watched sat and watched many, many planes take off and land. I think this was their favorite part.
A plane getting ready to take off.
Very cute kids with an old airplane we were able to see!
They were also giving rides up in the airplanes, but we never got a chance because there were too many people waiting. We waited for over an hour and the wait was still much longer. Hopefully next year, because Aidan and Peyton were very disappointed!
