This is a conversation Aidan and I had the other day. I thought it was really funny.
Aidan: Peyton's ba ba's. (pointing at my breasts)
Me: No, mommies ba ba's. What do you have? Ta ta's.
Aidan: No. Aidan has boobies.
Me: Where did you here that? (I had never used that word so I was surprised to hear him say that)
Aidan: Daddy. (He says with a very sly look on his face)
I cracked up laughing when he said that which in turn made Aidan laugh out loud as well. It was a very cute moment.

Our trip to the museum in Durham
On Monday Jon, the kids, and I took a trip to the science museum in Durham. Aidan loved it and had plenty to do.
First we stopped and looked at some fish.
Next Aidan had fun playing in the spaceship
Aidan loves to climb so the rock climbing wall was perfect for him
Playing with stuffed animals is always fun
Aidan loves his trains so he spent a lot of time checking them out
Next we went outside and right away he found something to climb on
If you look really close you can see Aidan looking out the window
Playing the drums is always fun
Aidan was in heaven when he saw the sandbox with tons of big dump trucks in it
Next we saw some animals. First a pot belly pig and then...
a goat.
But his favorite thing of all was the butterfly house.
He was thrilled and amazed that he was able to hold them on his finger.
It was really great for Jon and I to see Aidan's reaction to discovering new things. We all had a great time and I'm sure we will be visiting again soon.

Breakfast
Me: Aidan, what do want for breakfast, a bagel?
Aidan: No. A cereal bar.
Me: A waffle?
Aidan: No. A cereal bar.
Me: Cereal?
Aidan: No. A cereal bar.
Me: yogurt?
Aidan: No. Cereal bar.
Me: O.K. fine.
The child lives on cereal bars. At least he eats, right?

Kid-Sandwich
The other day for naps I found myself in Aidan's bed with Aidan sleeping on one arm and Peyton sleeping on the other. The kids slept like this for 2 1/2 hours which is great considering that an hour is good for Aidan. Not only that, but they were both sleeping at the same time. It was an awesome feeling having both my kids so close cuddling with me. I got to get some rest too! I kinda wish all naps would work out that way.

Playdough snakes
Thanks to Cassidy, playing with playdough is one of Aidan's new favorite things to do. Here he is playing with playdough snakes that we made.

We broke free
So we finally got out of the house yesterday and went over to Kara and Stella's. We have been going crazy seeing as though it has been hotter than hot here and we have not been able to play outside. Both kids were happy to have a playmate their age to keep them entertained.
Peyton had a great time with Henry as you can tell by her face.
She also had a good time playing with Henry's toys.
Meanwhile, Aidan had fun on the slip and slide
And babywearing with Stella
Tis is what happens if we don't get outside so I am grateful we had some outside time yesterday

Aidan slept through the night
Aidan slept through the night without waking up once last night. That might not seem like a big deal for others who have two year olds but Aidan has only done it a handful of times since his birth. I don't even remember the last time he did sleep through the night since it has been so long. Let's keep our fingers crossed that he will make this a more common occurance. Yay Aidan!

Teletubbies drive me crazy!
Aidan is obsessed with the teletubbies. A couple of months ago he never liked to watch t.v. and I found myself wishing he would just so he would sit still for a few minutes. Well Joe gave us a tape of the teletubbies and about a month ago Jon poped it in and my life has not been the same since. He absolutely loved them. He wants to watch them all day long. When he wakes up the first thing he says is "watch the teletubbies?" I let him him watch it in the morning and as soon as it is over he says "teletubbies again?" I say "later" and he has a meltdown. He repeats himself "teletubbies, teletubbies, teletubbies...etc." until finally 20 minutes later he gives up(for about half an hour). Of all the educational and fun things to watch he had to like the teletubbies. I hope this faze ends soon.

Back to blogging
So I haven't posted in a while and a lot has happened. Peyton is now 10 1/2 weeks old and 11lbs. Juggling 2 kids by myself isn't as hard as I thought. It is very rewarding and I learn something new everyday. I am now trying to potty train Aidan. He is doing really well. Aidan celebrated his second birthday on May 19. We had two parties for him. One with the family and One with his friends. Peyton now smiles and talks all the time. Both my kids are so cute.
